The new RMAX international logo is great. After much soul searching by Scott and the Tribe, the new RMAXi logo speaks/represents what Scott and the Trbe is seeking. The blue backround is a cool color and obscures the logo. My recommendation is a vibrant color. Great look, represents RMAXi!

I've seen several logos since I logged in. :D It takes some tweaking to get these things just right.

Paul,
Thank you. I've fixed the color tone to make it more visible.
The Vitruvian man represents the Golden Ratio of the Fibonacci Sequence, the pattern which resonates through everything in existence - from galaxies to our DNA. It also by choosing the work of Da Vinci represents eternal wisdom and ancient technology.
We adopted the Bucky Ball Tensegrity structure to represent the connectivity and interdependence of everyone and everything - in the micro with our Breathing, Movement and Structure as well as our Body, Mind and Spirit; as well as in the macro with our actions and behavior impacting everyone else (and ultimately everything in the Universe), our concept of the "Tribe" of community service.
The circle represents infinity of options, our perpetual state of growth and exploration, that all things come around again but with an improved state of understanding, as per Spiral Dynamics.
The relationship of the Outer Circle to the Inner Tensegrity Ball represents the process of daily deepening of personal practice, of moving from simplicity to sophistication.
A great deal went into the design, indeed!

Big thanks to the Leadership Team for their ongoing feedback over the months of its creation, for their candor, support and ideas!
Jason - a spider web is built upon tensegrity and the fibonacci sequence, just like the RMAX logo.

The blue shading comes up quite oppressingly on my computer - may I suggest trying the light blues as featured in the dappled top and bottom borders of this post (as it comes up on my iMac anyway) - it conjures up / is reminiscent of sparkling clean flowing water in a stream.
Cheers
Randell. :D

Max... if you read "The Da Vinci Code"... you'd know just how apt your comment truly is. You are dead on, my friend.

I like it too - have always been taken with Da Vinci's work and that particular image, and love the blue...
However, now that all the work is done, (& ya'll can get mad at me if you want  ) how about another, interlocking ring, with the female version?

hmm yes, gender neutral would be nice now that you mention it. Vitruvial Man doesn't have to be quite so, erm, literal.
but I was going to say - this is so nice I would actually not mind it as a decoration on apparel or a car sticker or stuff like that.
Or, a sticker to put on a CB so we don't get them mixed up when we get together.

The gender neutral male/female balance will be represented in the final image destined for the new website. 8)

I like the logo. The only thing I would change would be to make the outside black border a little thinner.

I can see what you're saying, Josh, but I like the black circle as strong as it is. It echoes the over-the-top blackness and heaviness of the CB.

What i LOVE about the logo is that it 'forces' you to look at it in three dimensions! I immediately thought of the analogy to the dynamism of the RMAX system, where it takes the potential and beauty of movement to a new dimension (from linear to circular). I also think that the linear-circularity is balanced in the buckyball (geodesic dome?)

I like the gender neutral approach but from experience in the music business, don't tweak the coolness out of it. I really really really like it.
I do I do.
