I'm looking to pick up a few new book this week, so I'm wondering if anyone can give me their thoughts on these:
Mind Hacks by Tom Stafford
On Intelligence by Jeff Hawkins
Into the Kill Zone by David Klinger
The Third Chimpanzee by Jared Diamond
The Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene
The Seven Sins of Memory by Daniel L. Schacter
Any opinions would be appreciated.

The Third Chimpanzee by Jared Diamond and Mind Hacks seem like great books. I have to read them. Thanks

Jared Diamond's latest book "Collapse", about why Civilizations crash and burn, is very thought provoking. His last book "Guns, Germs, and Steel" was an absolute pearler. "The Third Chimpanzee " and "Why is Sex Fun?" were both quite interesting as well.
Cheers

On a slightly different front, I just picked up a great book from Amazon.com:
Human Bones - A Scientific and Pictorial Investigation by R. McNeill Alexander. It's a beaut!

I've read Diamond's Guns, Germs and Steel and found it to be persuasive and well written. Likewise the Schacter is excellent - you can also try his earlier book which I believe is called Searching for Memory.

I've read Guns, Germs and Steel also. I really enjoyed it, looking forward to reading Collapse. An obsession with Easter Island as a kid eventually led me to study Anthropology at uni...
