Some of you may recall a few months ago that I posted regarding the extremely premature birth (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4200&highlight=) of our daughter, Maya Claire.

I'm happy to report (if somewhat late) that 82 days after her birth, our daughter was able to come home with us. She has some lingering aftereffects of being born so early - she makes these funny grunting sounds constantly, something her nurses warned us was common to very premature babies, and her immune system will be considered compromised up until she turns two. But in all other respects, she's just perfect. See? (Shown here with the handle of the Bruiser and a 53 lb kettlebell. For scale, y'know. ;) )

Many thanks to all of you who wished us well. It's very much appreciated.

And also, a quick plug: during those 82 days, I often went sleep deprived, spent an extra hour and a half in my car daily, slept for a week on a hospital pull-out, and spent a good portion of the time terrified over this or that setback in Maya's condition. My back, shoulders, and neck took a beating. No matter how bad it got, though, spenting a half-hour doing a Warrior Wellness session, and working with my 15lb clubbells never failed to release some of the stored tension. In particular, I recommend bullwhips, mills, and a parry cast + muscle-out + inward pendulum + hand switch combo I saw on the site.[/url]

Very happy for you! She is just beautiful!!!!

what's that country song?

"let 'em laugh, let 'em giggle, let 'em sleep in the middle... let them be little"

first time "in the middle" refers to a CB and KB I bet.

Awwwwww

What a beautiful little girl! And who knows or can even imagine until it happens how very terrifying it can be to be a parent?! You & your wife got a huge dose so very early, but now you also know what a huge gift this little person is to your life.
Blessings on you all.
