Hey guys, first time poster here. My name's David. I'm looking for any advice you guys can give me on a plan to help me prepare for becoming a firefighter. I'm 24 years old, 6' tall, and about 250 lbs. I definitely need to drop weight in order to become more efficient. Anything you guys can do to help me on my way to becoming a firefighter would be greatly appreciated.
One of my goals is to make it down to 200lbs.
I am currently doing the double density program.

Thanks guys

David, where are you in your program, how far have you come with what results, and what is your weekly training specifically comprise?

I think I can help reply as we currently workout and live in the same household.

My brother is on his second week of double D: the first week we did 3 non-consecutive workdays of 20 sets of 5 in the BASAC with WW split in between the 2 Clubbell workouts. WW and BF was done on the off-days.

This week he is doing 18 sets of 6 BASAC for the 3 workouts of this week. Basically we are making the workouts denser 1 increment according to Coach Sonnons Double D article per 3 workouts (or per 1 week basically). So far he has mentioned to me a pleasant tightness/increased density of the upper limbs and torso.

Daniel, tell David he's on a solid program to achieve his goals. Make sure he's getting deep enough in the Swipes (http://www.circularstrength.com/images/swipe.avi) it order to activate the exercise.

As soon as he can, ship him over to the Nutrition Forum to buttress his dietary requirements to meet his fitness, strength and performance goals.
