I'm not quite sure how to take that
In any case, Happy Birthday Lew!

Welcome to the fifth decade Lew. See, it didn't hurt all that much.
I remember being 20, doing the math for turn-of-the-century, which told me I'd be 54. My reaction was "N-a-a-a-w, I'll NEVER be 54!"
Hey, I was right! I started ROSS at 53 and been aging backwards since. Worried about next summer though, DMV might confiscate my license for being underage.
Congrats,
Rick

So here was my fiftieth birthday workout... the intent was to increase what i call power endurance with recovery, the ability to make a hard submaximal effort and recover... i use one machine 1 dumbbell, 1 chinning bar...except for the hindu pushups as warmup reps are 5, for power... and the aim is for controlled explosion... every minute i start a new exercise, or set.. so the longer the set takes, the less rest i get..
1/ hindu pushups, 20 2/ 7 circuits with a 40 lb dumbell of 5 dumbbell swings ( 2 handed) ; 5 dumbell jerks each hand, 5 dumbbell snatches each hand so each circuit takes 3 minutes (ie, the 5 jerks per hand are done with both hands in the one minute allotted)... i then racked the dumbell, did 5 chins, 2 sets of 5 leg press at 20 (didn't want to do squat because of low back fatigue) 5 chins, 2 sets of hanging leg raise, 5 chins...on some of the latter exercises i may have short changed the rest period, cause i had to meet my wife... total time 29 minutes, intensity= 7, form maitenance = 7 (would have been 8 except that i let some explosion disappear in the db circuit, ie movement was good but too slow)..
I do this workout 2/week, and a less structured one with a 20 kg block at home once a week... Not too shabby for 50, however the most important exercises i did, and which i do every morning were not part of this workout, that was the 14 minutes of body flow i do every morning, with various exercises and improvising some chains.. this is what has improved my knees and hips, especially squat creep, and shifting and expanding shin boxes.. all of which are daily.
