Just a quick question. I understand there is a $50 registration fee, but what about our families and friends that come to spectate? Will they be charged admission and will there be adequate seating for them? Thanks in advance for the info and I can't wait to see you there.

Hi Dale,
There is no charge for spectators. There is enough seating for them to watch the event. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the CST Carnival in August. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask here or even email me.
Take Care,
Chris

Just another quick question. For the strongman challenge, are we doing the exercise with each hand or do we use two hands for the one exercise? Either way, the "Challenge" will still be a challenge. But I must try.
cbeltrante

Dale the "Strongman Challenge" combination is done with two hands.

Dale the "Strongman Challenge" combination is done with two hands.
Chris,
Thanks for helping me to understand. That makes me a little more confident about trying the challenge.
By the way, I live in Lancaster, PA and was wandering how to find you or maybe contact you by phone about coming to meet and train with you. We have a very small piece of the Tribe here in Lancaster but we seem to be starting to grow.
That leads to my other question: If I am able to set up an event, would you like to come and share some of your knowledge? Hopefully, we can inspire folks and introduce them to a different approach to physical culture. Let me know.

Chris,
When I registered, I had no idea it would take this long for my low back to heal up. Can I bring my 5lb CBs instead of the 15lbers and still benefit from the CB portion of the Carnival?
Thanks,
Paolo

Paolo,
Sure you can bring the 5lbers and stilll benefit from the Clubbell portion of the Carnival. You'll be able to go through all the exercises we'll be demonstrating at the Carnival. If you have any questions on the proper execution of an exercise we'll be able to answer it for you.
Looking forward to meeting you at the Carnival!!!
Take care and I hope your back feels better!!!

Hey Chris
In addition to the 15#'s what additional CB's should we bring if we have them?
cbeltrante
08-18-2005, 11:20 AM
We'll be doing some 2-Handed (Bruiser)Clubbell work along with some Catch-22 training. So if you have a clubbell you feel comfortable with doing Bruiser work, you can bring that along. If you fell comfortable with the 15lber for Catch -22, you can use that, if not bring along a 10lber if you have it.
Looking forward to meeting you at the CST Carnival.
Take care,
Chris

I'm not sure if this is going to the right message board, but I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the instructors at the 1st Annual CST Carnival held this past Saturday. I had met Scott at a CST presentation at a Radiant Recovery seminar a little over a year ago and have been doing WW and clubbell work since. But Saturday I totally got why people, including me, LOVE doing it.
I am 66 years old and my family and friends have been alternately skeptical and intrigued by what I've been doing. And I wondered, myself, how out of place I would feel at the Carnival. But I was so welcomed by Josh and the rest of the instructors that I didn't feel self-conscious at all. I loved reviewing the WW movements with Slade, Kristann made basic clubbell movment come alive for me, Chris intrigued me with Catch-22 and ABCs of two handed clubbell work, and Dave even got me laughing at myself doing some body flow shin box, spinal rock, long arm roll (though couldn't quite coordinate the reverse) in spite of a knee that I thought in the beginning wouldn't support me. And Jonathan, I just might show up at one of your Saturday classes <grin>.
I felt totally 'taken care of' as all the instructors would periodically ask 'how're you doing?' It was a hot day, but fortunately there was cloud cover for most of it. I was sorry I had to leave before the softwork session.
But I just want to say thank you to all for a wonderful experience, I just wish we could do it more often. And if this is not the place to post this so all the instructors are able to read it, please let me know and I will post it elsewhere too.

Oh good, I'm glad I posted where you could get my thank you. Jon, can you tell me where you hold the Saturday classes in the park? I think Chris said it's near the Marina, is that correct? And do you hold them every Saturday? Is there a registration procedure, or pay as you go, how does it work? And what time do you hold them?

CST Carnival August 2005 experience
Hope…better late than never is true for you all. First off, I just have to say that the event name (“CST Carnival”) was smart, creative, and fun. The word “Carnival” feels more fun and welcoming rather than using the words training or workshop.
My personal highlights include learning from the excellent presentations from a variety of East Coast CST Instructors; practicing Catch-22, Softwork; seeing the 80lb. Clubbell, witnessing people attempt and some successfully cleaning to order and pressing the 80lb. Challenge overhead (inspiring); being one of the first names drawn for the prizes to win a Warrior Wellness dvd, meeting and chatting with folks; purchasing RMAX materials shipping free; and hanging out afterwards doing obstacle flows with a fellow Triber.
The event came together real well and the CST Instructors were professionals the whole way through. I write this now despite the timing because I want to highly recommend any of their future events and I want to say “Hi!” to all the CST Carnival August 2005 folks who helped make my first CST event an awesome experience! “Warm Greetings from California!”
It’s great to see CST Instructors and Coaches initiate more RMAX events! Many thanks to all the participants and CST Instructors for coming together and making this happen.

Jeff,
