Hi

I am finding eating quite hard lately. I do better on Meat and Vegetables. Soy, not good anyways.
Wheat and Dairy kill my sinuses to death. To much Muucs produced.

Are eggs dairy???

I have stopped eating the other stuff, but not eggs and my mucus has not stopped, could it be the eggs, if so..that would sux big time.

otherwise have to eat more other meats as well.

Another question? any good protein drinks without Dairy and wheat, whey, etc???????? Find it hard to eat at work, since I don't want to use a microwave , not good ...micro beef, does not taste that great..:))))

thanks..Jason

Everytime I eat Dairy, Mucus form in my throat and nose. If I don't eat it, I am cool.

Hey Jay,
I'm almost positive that those are tell tale signs of an allergy or an intolerance. I could be wrong but I think that an allergy to a food occurs within the hour or half hour of ingesting the food and an intolerance could cause effects a day or so after, but it could be reversed, I can't remember. You could try the rotation diet. If you doo a google search you'll get the gist of it. Maybe you would do better if the wheat you ate was sprouted. What about diegestive enzymes? Just some suggestions.

Jay - if it's not too much trouble, give us a list of exactly what you eat throughout the day. Also, let us know when you are having the mucus problem in relation to a meal. You could still be eating something such as a condiment that contains the allergic offender. It could be eggs. I just want to make sure, though, as eggs kick ass and I don't want to see you have to give them up

Eggs do in fact kick ass, and omelets kick more ass. I know you can't have dairy, but for everyone else, cheese, ham, and sweet peppers is the way to go. If you've never had one like this, go make one immediately.

Hey Hum, saw on DD that you're starting college soon. Where are you headed? and best of luck. Let the beer consumption begin.

University of Central Florida: www.ucf.edu - it's not all that bad of a school. I don't want to leave home, so, it works :) As far as the beer drinking goes - I was an alcoholic at 17. A really big local bar, The Ale House, didnt card me when I went in there with a suit on, after work. I drank there for about 6 months, nearly every day. Pretty much a pitcher a night. One time, I had 11 double shots of scotch with a buddy of mine. Not the greatest of memories. Thank God I pulled myself out of all of that. Anyway, needless to say, I wont be doing too much drinking at college :) Still trying to figure out whether I want to double major in microbiology and chemistry or major in mathematics. Right now, I am leaning toward the latter. Lastly, keep my updated on your progress with the Anabolic Diet. I'm interested to see how it works out for you.

Hum

I tried eating omelets without the cheese and I was fine. When I have a lot of cheese in it, then my sinsus don't blow up..

Milk, cheese products do it most, also processed foods, sugar, etc. Its funny, my body does not want to eat bad...:))))

Jay,

that's awesome! My body is the same way. When I eat any crap food, or non paleo food for that matter, I tend to feel like $hit both mentally and physically. I can no longer eat sugar at all. If I eat any sugar, I vomit. It's kind of scary actually. The whole process is pretty cool though, that my body regulates food intake. In my humble opinion, there is definitley something there when it comes to paleolithic nutrition.

Dairy thickens mucus in the body. If it's to an intollerable level, you may be highly sensitive.

Jay, you might want to look into the food supply of the chickens who are producing the eggs you eat. A total grain/seed diet is definitly inappropriate for chickens, and particularly with wheat, there will be grain molecules resulting in your egg supply. Though I am unfamiliar with any national retailer/wholesaler, look for local eggs which are fed insects and vegetation.

Though a paleodiet eliminates so many of the modern foods that many are intolerant to, there is still a practice of processing which promotes immunological tolerance (i.e., passivity towards a saturated state of toxicity/non-original molecules). To take an empirical step towards evaluating eggs for yourself, try smelling them unprocessed on an empty stomach, around noon, or in the evening 5-6 hours after the last meal. The following is a post on egg fertility/quality:
