I just read about these supplements based on fruits and vegetables from the Amazon in a recent Grappling Magazine. The company website is www.sierrasue.amazonherb.net.
Looks interesting, but it's also very expensive so before putting down any shekels, I was wondering if anyone has heard of these products, this company, etc. The benefits sound great (as with any supplement self-promotion) and the rationale sounds reasonable, but....you never know.
thanks in advance.

Jeff,
I have read about the founder of this company and his line of martial art specific supplements in an old issue of blackbelt magazine awhile back ago. Howevert I do not personally trust the business ethics of a company who uses multi-level marketing. I do not have any experience about these products but if you do decide to try them out, please keep me updated with your own results.

I don't have the same problem with multi-level style marketing that Bao has--most of e-commerce operates with something very close to it, although they call it affiliate marketing--but I am automatically suspect of anything that promises near miraculous results from a product that can only be found in one part of the world, and that the company has exclusive distribution for. Show me some peer reviewed studies done by third parties and I'll believe them. Plus, keep in mind that what works for one person will not necessarily work for another, so anecdotal evidence isn't entirely helpful either, though it may be an indication that it is worth further investigation. Generally, the wider the anecdotal base, the more seriously I take it.
The supplements I use came with a money-back guarantee--if I wasn't happy with the results, I could literally return an empty box and I'd get my money back. I'm still using them.

Glenn

Glenn,
What Amazon-based supplements do you currently use right now? What effects did you get from using them? What do you recommend for martial artists and why?
Thanks in advance,
Bao

I'm not using any Amazon based supplements--my point was that I tend to distrust things that sound too much like miracle cures from an obscure eco-system, especially when single sourced. I take a variety of more or less standard nutritional supplements--a powerful multi, plus extra B, omega 3, saw palmetto (male over 40--it's for prostate), digestive enzymes, bilberry with lutein (recommended by my optometrist), siberian ginseng, sometimes rhodiola when I'm going to do a serious workout. The last of these is an adaptagenic herb from the arctic that has been used in Russia for centuries and has recently been studied pretty extensively. It's good for boosting physical endurance and mental clarity--it has certainly revved up my workouts with less fatigue afterwards. The rest you're probably familiar with.
Yours,
Glenn
