Coach Szolek, I too read "The Wrestler's Body" when Circularstrength.com was in its infancy, although I never implemented the dietary regime since I didn't train like a wrestler (100 dands or so is still my limit!)

However, I have been seeking additions to my diet for the last several weeks which would help me complete the rounds of 'intern' clinical massages, massage school , training, and a 40 hour work week to pay for my LMT hobby. I recently 'rediscovered' almonds as a source of lasting energy and superior nutrition in a book by Cass Ingraham, and was impressed by the benefits to be had. But I was still getting sandbagged by the demands of performing several hour long massages in a row (I was so tired on Sunday that it actually scared me). I am hoping that adding ghi to my diet will provide the additional 'edge' (along with increased efficiency in my practice, of course) and add to my longevity as an LMT and a trainee. It looks very promising!

Thank you so much for sharing your discoveries about ghi, and the recipe for making it (the supermarket shelf price was quite off-putting!), along with your shake recipe. Great article, and one which couldn't have come at a better time for at least one member of your audience!
