I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried the Maxalding method of muscle control? If you have,do you think that it is a good compliment to clubbell training and martial arts?I've been using a 30-35 min. a day,5 times a week schedule for almost a month. It seems to work really well as active recovery for the muscles. The system really stresses that in order to have good muscle control, you must be relaxed;and by being able to contract a muscle hard and with perfect control you can also relax it.Any thoughts would be appreciated. Here's a website for more info-BTW-the forum has some good, free beginner's programs.http://www.maxalding.co.uk/index2.htm

The optimal form of active recovery for CST is Warrior Wellness' Multi-planar Mobility and Prime Bioenergy's Vibrational Training. From my experience with Maxalding, isometrics begets isometrics. To tap flow, one must move.

Thanks for the quick reply,Coach Sonnon. That makes sense. What about it's claim for making one very strong? The founder of the system and many of his students were able to perform amazing feats of gymnastic and weightlifting strength, but Maxick(the founder) himself didn't lift weights more than once every month;usually every two or three months.

Interesting claims. I wonder why no one continues to make such claims today. If something was done before, it ought to be replicable today. There are plenty of feats performed today which are just if not more impressive AND consistently repeatable and verifiable.
Strength is as strength does. If one conditions isometrics, one conditions 'frozen' motion especially if that is one's only training modality. How much greater would have been their (claims of) feats had they trained for strength in motion?

Yes,Coach, very good point.Speaking of motion...I got my softwork dvd's!AWESOMENESS! :D Now I can understand the analogy people make regarding the Matrix movie!I just couldn't tell who,you or Coach Chomycia,is the Chosen One .You both can really move!Of course,as luck would have it,my cheap little dvd player broke.I only got to see up to the grappling section.Still,I remember enough to hold me over till I get a new one.
