I have been trying to loose weight for 3 months and went on the abs diet. Started to get somewhere and then put weight back on and then it started to work and then it didn't.

I've stepped up ab and cardio work and still the same.

Today's Food:

Special K
Apple
Chicken Salad
Apple
Steak Rice and Peppers
Low Fat Rice Pudding

Also diet similar to that through the week except for Cheat Meal on a saturday or friday...

Nothing seems to work and with cardio and martial arts training, though I would at least tone up a bit.

Any suggestions for the next two weeks as wedding and honeymoon is then and I wanted to look good. It happens all the time...

Sorry can't help with short term quick fixes, but I'll comment anyway, even tho I hate it when I say "how do I do X" and someone says "oh don't bother with X, Y is better." LOL but you asked so here goes.

I'm not familiar with the Abs Diet so can't give you feedback there.

Content, quality and timing of meals matters. I see you've found out that it's possible to bring fat-burning to a halt by not finding the right combo for you.

Speaking of bringing fat-burning to a halt - the whole concept of "cheat" does that for me. Do you know that depending on how egregious the cheats are, and where your body is, a cheat day can stop fat-burning for 2-5 days? eeek

If it were me, I'd focus on whatever makes me feel really good mentally and physically so I could be my best for the Big Day. Looking good is 90% vibes and confidence anyway, and if your rented tux is tight across the middle, get another one!!

I don't mean the "cheat" kind of feel good but the combination of food that you know from experience leaves you energetic and not bogged down.

You know grrrrrls like me are the experts in dieting short-term for events so when I say it's not worth it to kill yourself for two weeks, I really know. What if you were a bear to be around or quietly felt like crap. No fun.

The Abs Diet is based on the following...

Protien smoothie for breakfast or wholemeal toast with peanut butter or turkey rashers on wholemeal toast.

Snack: Almonds with fruit or any nuts really as long as you mix protien and non protien

Lunch: Sandwhich (Wholemeal)with beef or a wrap with chicken.

Snak as above:

Dinner: Wholemeal pasta or rice with chili or chicken breast or steak...

Snack: As above:

Why do you think it stopped working, or why did you go off? Except for lack of veggies, looks pretty balanced. Maybe it needs more time.

Connie talks good sense. What she has to say some people may not wish to hear, but it is invariably accurate.
