View Full Version : Detoxifying?

Hello,
I have some questions about detoxifying that have accumulated for a while. I hope people don't mind if I dump them all at once.
Does detoxifying work? How does it work, is there any research? How do you know if you could benefit from it, how do you know if it's working? What are some simple but effective methods of detoxifying? Do those de-tox teas you see in grocery stores have any value? I've read that researhers have found heavy metals and stuff coming out in your sweat so some people recommend sweating every day, would you agree? Can you recommend any good resources to look up?
Thanks.

The question you should ask is, "what is toxicity, and how does it store within us?"

Thanks for the reference, I ordered the book.

I've had three, count em three ladies just starting WW and CBs in the last two weeks that report what feels like big toxin releases from the movement.
Just FYI.

That's interesting. I have some questions, I hope you don't mind.
What does a big toxin release feel like? How do you think warrior wellness could cause that? Do you think there's something unique about warrior wellness or would different kinds of movement (martial arts, dance, calisthenics, etc) create a similar effect?

Toxicity reuptake (when the immune system finally has access to eliminate emotional by-products) from my experience feels a great deal like recovering from the nauseau (local), and in some more extreme cases, felt like recovering from vertigo (more globally systemic).
Any movement which can target bound areas can release toxic storage. However, some do so accidentally. Warrior Wellness does so directly by its systematic approach to movement sophistication (which can be found in no other system.)

I have to agree with Coach Sonnon about the systematic movement of WW and toxin release. For people I've seen that come to WW from almost no movement, the release is pretty much guaranteed and predictable.
For me it's like "coming down with something" but it lasts only briefly. Like not even a day.
One lady said it was just like how it feels when her lymph system gets going again. I said, how on earth do you know when your lymph system is on or off. She said, because I had a traumatic car accident and lots of physical therapy so I got to know how it feels.
Another lady slept very deeply in the middle of the day when she normally never does that.
A third lady felt "disconnected" from her body and spacy, and made an association of that, with the stimulation from WW and CB swinging for lack of any other good idea. She's not sure if that was it.

Coach Sonnon, hit it right!!!! I have found what he wrote above to be true. Using Warrior Wellness, Bodyflow, and applying my myofasica release Clubbell methods, I started to release toxins. I was unaware of the toxic release and was worried because of minor physical reactions from the detox. However, after my emotional release and physical detox, I felt like a baby born again full of vitality. To be honest it was scary and the freedom I felt afterward was worth the temporary weakness, fear, and mental discomfort.

I think I might have experienced something like that before. I took a massage class with my wife. We got to the hands and it brought back such painful stuff I almost started bawling right there. I couldn't believe what a strong reaction I had.

Like reaction to changing nutrition and to massage, increase water uptake to aid your system's recovery.
