I started cutting back on carbs on 10-13, said the heck with the slow route & went keto-crazy on the 17th.(thanks again Bill) Yesterday was 4 weeks of 20g or less of carbs per day. I've been in Ketosis for the since 10-21, the 1st time i peed on a stick. I feel real good, strong & i don't get hungry.

Height just under 6 feet.

Bodyweight:
Beginning(10-13)-294lbs yesterday(11-14)274lbs

the last week was from 276.5 to 274. Things are slowing down, as expected.

I haven't taken 2nd measurements yet for waist, hips, etc. but will in the next few days.

I haven't been meticulous about recording calorie intake ( fancy way of saying i have been lazy about it) but have been in the 2800-3200 range most of the time. The time to get meticulous is obviously near, since things are slowing down. I wanna keep it at 2-3lbs per week.

I wonder, should i keep the carb level this low or start adding a few carbs back into the mix in small (5g) increments?

I am also planning a few meals that will contain a higher carb level in the next few weeks.
11-23 is my birthday :P  :D , then there are at least 5 or 6 holiday meals coming up before the end of the year. I refuse to gorge myself on potaoes, bread and the like, but i will share holiday meals with family. I am also gonna copy&paste this on DD, for the opinions there.

Comments?

Great job man. Twenty pounds is a lot of weight. What is your current goal for body weight and composition?

Holidays are rough, but not too bad for a nice little Jewish boy like myself. Christmas must be killer with all the cookies and goodies and such. I have a few latkes which is not too bad, but I can't wait for sweet potato pudding and apple pie which will be two nice carb filled treats.

Keep it up Dave and you should be happy with the increasingly lighter and healthier version of yourself.
