I have heard that the former USSR pioneered research in this area, our own air force (USA) uses blood typing to help select pilots.

My dad swears that eating the "right foods for his type" has dramatically helped him (lose weight, feel better ect). I dont know my blood type so i havent done it that way, but I instinctually know what foods not to eat.

So does anyone have expierience with this type of diet? or anything similar

Most ot the stuff I've read on other message boards and websites don't support this diet too much. But on the other hand, I've never tried it!

There's a lot of bad anthropology in that book. Not to mention the fact that the blood type designations (A, B, O, AB) are simply one marker in the blood, albeit an important one. Another would be rh factor.

What I've heard is that the people with the O blood type get results the most because they are eating in a paleo fashion. The other blood types don't fare as well, and in my case, a type A, the dietary recommendations are ludicrious and blatantly wrong from an anecdotal viewpoint. I know, just from prior experience, that eating the way they describe for my blood type would have an immediate, negative effect upon my performance.

Plus, in it's general guidelines, it tells me the appropriate sports for me are badmitten, golf, and maybe shuffleboard.
