I would like to know if anyone has any advice on rehabing wrist injuries that are a result of excessive jarring and getting flexed a little to far back when hitting.

Most painful when doing open handed push-up type movements, but no pain when doing it close handed (on fists).

I have been doing the warrior wellness intermediate program which includes the wrist infinities, but nothing else for rehab.

Thanks,

Josh

Avoid loading it in the injured direction until it will move without discomfort.

Tension from joint overextension propagates. So does relaxation. So do the wrist circles, the finger exercises, and the elbow ones from WW, every time the injury 'gets your attention'.

When I get a wrist cranked one direction, I instinctively crank it the other direction. I don't know the therapeutic propriety of this, or why it seems to offset the existing strain, maybe it's a balance issue. Of course I don't mean "counter-injure" it, just move it with external force (the other hand) in the direction opposite the injury.

And check back here, for more suggestions as more of the tribe checks in.
