Jay: I did some research on MSM because I'm rehabbing bicep tendonitis, and MSM is indicated for sport injuries, and many other conditions. I will refer you to the website and page that explains this supplement best:
www.wellnessex.com/what_is_MSM.htm
(Please note there is an underscore like this _ between what, is and MSM that you can't see because the address is underlined)
Hope this info helps.

Hello
I was just curious of people's thoughts on MSM. I have been taking it probalby over a year now. Good stuff.
I've had good luck with MSM as well, for joint aches and pains. In addition, giving my son (who suffers from asthma, especially during cold season) MSM (mixed in orange juice) seems to reduce his need for immediate relief inhalers like albuterol, and reduce the frequency of his attack. I'll note that my son is really only asthmatic when he's got a cold or another respiratory tract infection or inflammation.
