Burn treatment

Guys,
My wife received a nasty 2nd degree scald on her forearm/wrist last Thursday. I'm looking for some complimentarty treatments to help her heal well. I'm about to take her to one of Chicago's better TCM people this afternoon, but any further input would be much appreciated.

We just got back from a day-long excursion to Chicago's Chinatown to see an excellent TCM practitioner & chiropractor, and it was well worth fighting Christmas traffic to do so.
