Hey coach,
This is my first post on the forum and I had a few questions. I am considering going into the military for naval spec-ops and was wondering how clubbells could help in my preparedness. As christmas is coming I wanting to add a few more training elements to my program and I am considering 2 15lb clubbells as well as a weighted vest. I can only afford on a the time being and I am just looking for a honest opinion. Advice and testimonial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check out the Combat-Specific Strength Program in the Clubbell Training for Circular Strength book. Clubbells are the only strength and conditioning tool specifically created for combative preparedness.

The advantage, I feel, clubbells will provide is strength and muscular endurance in a full range of motion. What this will do is increase your overall endurance, for your muscles will not have to work as hard(saving you energy).
Also, military training, which I know from experience, is done on more than one plane. We often suffer injuries when our muscle and joint deviate from their normal or most conditioned plane of motion. By working with C-bells a safety valve is created which protects you outside your expected ranges of motion.
But again, the muscular endurance was the most challenging thing for me when I was a soldier. Moreover, their is an imbalance in training/performance in the military. Training is done mostly on a linear level, yet the actual combative performance is multi-planar.
As far as the vest is concerned, it might be of some benefit for push-ups and pull-ups, as well as marching uphill, since you will more than likely wear a ruck sack. It might be more specified to put the vest in the sack when marching.
C-bells...you can't go wrong!
"good luck"

Absolutely, I've been using them for only a short period of time but, the impact is already quite noticeable in increased ROM, increased endurance in hard to work muscle groups, and in physical appearance.
In addition to the clubbells I agree that your purposes would best be served by spending some time walking with a weight on your back. Get a ruck, a couple of sandbags, and , most importantly, a well broken in pair of boots, wool socks and start walking.
You won't regret the clubbells. The soldiers I train have already started sniffing around them and are doing the "how can I get some?" dance. Total military application in a portable package, what more could a grunt want?
