As I begin PHASE III of my OCS preparation through the PHASE IV Program (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/18/sonnon1.html) I wanted to present
My Four Month Clubbell Training Success Report

I realized a major OOPS when I began PHASE III - for some reason my brain concealed an error in my logic when designing and mapping the entire program.

PHASE IV Training packs on the meat as is obvious from above. I'm officially 22.5 pounds heavier than when I began, tipping the scale at 203.5lbs. I don't cut weight any longer - too many years of Sambo sucking down 20lbs in 2 weeks for this tournament or that event. Just imagine my frame at 163.5lbs grappling all day long. Blech!

I don't mind the increased mass. I wear it comfortably since it exists as Functional Hypertrophy. And due to the nature of my training, my mobility has INCREASED predominantly due to a perpetual process of Intuitive Assessment of my poise, preconditions, deficits and impediments.

However, these gains place me currently in the HW Division, since I'm over the 198 class. I anticipate that I'll shed a few pounds once I move into PHASE IV since the protocol demand quite a bit of active recovery. But I find it highly unlikely that I shall diminish to the 180lbs. weight class.

At this point it means I have no buffer on my training volume. IOW, my training volume equals my competitive target volume. I believe in over-compensatory preparation - Be more prepared than the challenges you face, is my institutional credo. Therefore, I may consider going an additional +10% in PHASE IV. I don't like the sounds of it since my CNS won't be prepared for the sudden increase in volume. The genius behind PHASE IV is that it stealthily pre-creates the target volume through the principle of Incremental Progression in the Double Density protocol.

We'll see. Regardless, I must bite the bullet. Wish me luck, Tribe. The competition is getting fierce. Wish us all luck.

Excellent progress Scott! I can definitely see the hypertrophy (especially in the chest and shoulders!) and it's obvious that it's solid stuff too... none of that watered down muscle! Good job... keep it up!

Nice work

I doubt you will have to "cut" weight in any way that will give you post-traumatic sambo stress syndrome. As much as 160 is not your true weight, i imagine 203 is pretty big for you. Once you get to the top of the pyramid at the end, eating conciously, the volume taper, and no donuts should slip you under 198 easily. 22 lbs of growth, even if 3 or 4 is fat, which is all it looks like to me, is muy serious in that time frame. As the asian cop in Blade Runner says " You've done a man's job"

Thanks, Tom. You're probably spot on, Bill. Thanks. Haven't touched any refined sugar in three years, so it will be time to be slightly 'hungry' come IV of PHASE IV. Still a significant mental oops on the design.
