It's me again tribe,

I just accomplished step #1 to change the course of my life and take action on my Life-Plan... just got my High School Equivalency diploma (GED) last week, and want to hear any advice you may have about schools ( I want to become a Massage Therapist) and think "word of mouth" could help me to find a great school. (UCMT looks attractive...)

Thanks in advance...

Acusage Academy in Oxford MA is excellent, I highly recomend it :D

if you're in need of a comprehensive list of schools in a given area, try www.naturalhealers.com .

Good luck

Also check out Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP.com) for tons of info on the industry and schools.

The Connecticut School of Massage Therapy in Newington (my home town) is known nationally as one of the best around. Connecticut has some of the most stringent licensing rules for CMTs anywhere, and the school is quite naturally very thorough.

Camilo,

I went to the Institute of Conscious BodyWork in San Anselmo Ca. Jocyln Olivier is one of the best in in industry. She just relocated her school to new 5,000 ft facility in Corta Madra Ca. I recieved a cutting edge education there :!: :)

I've heard a lot of good things about the school at Harbin Hot Springs in CA.

I've never been there personally but I think it would be pretty awesome to have access to a hot springs every night after class.

Ares, did you mean schools in your vicinity or are you prepared to relocate in order to go to Massage school?

Marty,
Your only about three hours from Harbin. A nice drive through the wine country. I used to go climbing on Mt Saint Helana and go down the hill for a soak. :)
