I attended a 2 day workshop for clubbells in San Francisco featuring Cody Fielding. The workshops were held Feb 19 and Feb 26 (Sundays) for 2 hours each.

I had never used clubbells before and I'm pretty certain I am the only one there who had never met Cody before.

It was really neat to have a small workshop. Cody was really good about giving people individual attention and mentioning how to apply the methods to their own goals.

The first day, we went over basic safety and the basic movements. When I got home from the workshop, I was so jazzed up from the workout, I couldn't sit still. I ended up spending 2 hours working in the yard, then 4 more hours in the kitchen cooking!

Surprisingly, I received a personal email from Cody the next day. One of his questions was how my body felt. Surprisingly, the day after, I had a little soreness in my triceps (less than a hard tricep workout) but that was it. Other than that, I felt like a million bucks. (Not bad for an old, out of shape guy)

The next weekend, we reviewed what we had learned and went over some more advanced movements. We also had a special guest, Chip Conrad from Sacramento. That was cool because it meant 2 experienced guys were there to give you pointers and help you out.

I learned a lot and now I need to get some clubs so I can incorporate it into workouts for my clients. I'll have to be looking for the next level seminar.

All in all, it was a GREAT value. It was only $100 and had a small class with personal attention and included a DVD to review the movements.

I'll be attending more of Cody's workshops in the future.

Dan it was great to meet and work with you. Your energy and ethusiasm were infectious...I Thank you for your kind words and attention to the material and the presentation.

I am grateful to have been able to work with these good people. I was so impressed with their development from the first session to the second - it was a bit overwhelming, frankly. I had to 'catch up' to how far they had advanced.

I've done much presenting/public speaking in my life and never have I had so much fun instructing as with these workshops - what a blast. Dan came in as a novice and left (I believe) an enthusiast. Jeff came in an enthusiast and left with a deeper understanding and some great Clubbell® techniques. At the end of day two, Francisco (Pancho) was doing shotguns (pistol squats) with two 20 lb'ers! The two CST candidates 'Hollywood' Tony and Jeremiah did an excellent job - they are physically powerful and are doing their best to 'steep' themselves in all things CST.

Justin and I will round out the final round of this series on Thursday and I'm sure more fun stories to be had. I'll post some photos as well.

As an important aside, Chip Conrad and his girlfriend were guests of and participants in the workshops. As any Clubbell® enthusiast will, he gave a few pointers along the way, but he is not a CST instructor and appropriately held back from taking an instructor role.

I am really happy about the way the workshop went. Today was the second and last day of the 2 day/ 2 hour series. This was a tremendous amount of material to cover and transmit. I am really happy to have the personal instruction, and, I am looking forward to more workshops with Cody. He did a lot of work behind the scenes in preparation for the class and it really shows. Thanks, Cody!

I was amazed at my progress, having practiced IntuFlow/Xtension since New Years, I can do more than a few reps/exercises with a 15# clubbell. I began the workshop a week earlier, weary of using a heavy weight, for fear of frying my grip strength. I am happy to go home with some new insights and realizations into the RMAX mode of doing things. I am finally going to take the advice to write down my workouts and monitor my progress! The more I learn about CST, the more grateful I am to be a part of the Tribe.

Wanted to share a few photos from the workshops. I was only able to have a photographer there on Sundays, so you're seeing half the folks.

Hope you enjoy. I especially like the two Iron Crosses at the end.

Cody these are great. My favorite is when the camera catches you watching  intently. It's like you are reinforcing how cool the heavy clubs are by being so alert to, movement deviating from the expected.

Cody,

FANTASTIC! :D :D Now THAT is what I'm talking about!
Could someone please write an official report for CST Magazine with some photo?

Really nice. Maybe I'm making it up, but I think I can see the enthusiasm and a positive and intense general vibe in those shots.

Makes me sad I wasn't there...

Thank you for the kind words. It's feels almost criminal to have this much fun handing down a tradition - and a tradition is much of how I see this emerging...

In terms of a report for a CST mag, Jeff Sampson did an excellent job of putting a review together (it's a bit complimentary), but perhaps he could take a shot...I found him to be a person of good quality.

Thanks for the kind words Cody. I will give it a shot and submit a report for the CST Mag! Maybe others can submit a report as well and the CST Mag editors could choose from our submissions!
