Hey guys,

Here is the video of the Sambo demo we did at the Battle of the Boardwalk last month. It is a fairly big file so, it may take a while if you don't have high speed.

That is some slick work there! I will have to pass this link onto my training group. They should really enjoy it.....nice job!

Looks like two guys taking turns with an anti-gravity weapon. Also reminds me of Coach Sonnon's statement (I paraphrase very, very slightly) "For some reason, I just love throwing people through the air."

The demo just flat rocked. If that didn't arouse some interest, everyone else was asleep.

By the way - I understand that there are different "wings" of Sambo, and I assume that the demonstration addressed the sport "wing". Are these moves also used in the combat wing of Sambo?

Anti Gravity weapon...LOL

Yeah, it is great fun throwing folks around :D

Mostly sport stuff but, all the sport stuff is in combat too, just different areas of focus. This was a demo so It had to look exciting.

KD,

A better way to think of Sambo is not "wings" but rather "flavors". It's all the same ingredients, but they are mixed differently depending upon the application: sport, self-protection or combat.
