I watched the Two Handed Clubbell DVD this morning and found it very informative. Like all of the RMAX training materials, I noticed the overlap and synergy with the other programs. I did notice one thing in particular and wanted to know if I'm on the right track.
When Coach Szolek was explaining the Hip Root (I believe), I realized that the motion/position looked exactly like 'The Bump' hip movement from Warrior Wellness (and Intu-Flow). What was interesting was his explanation of the movement. It made me want to experiment with the movement (which I have had some minor trouble with).
My left knee clicks when I do the Hip Root motion to that side. I had been compensating with my feet (pivoting slightly, heel out) to cut down the potential lateral motion in the knee with little effect. Coach Szolek mentioned a screwing motion (which is explained in other RMAX materials) during the weight shift. I tried incorporating the screwing motion with my feet planted to the Hip Root and found that the clicking was less!
Does this make sense? Is this something I should consider experimenting with further?
Thanks in advance!
