I have been trying to find a way to "be breathed" by sitting, but it is just not happening, unless I purposely do it, but my classmates think I'm kind of weird when I going "phhhwheeee....uhhhhh.....phhweeee....uhhhh"

What do the rest of you do breathing (or anything) wise while seated for extended periods of time?

MERRY CHRISTMAS (even if you dont celebrate it)!!!!!!!!

This is a great tape. I use the be breathed exercises that you can do through out the day no problem. It's really short and you can go to the bathroom and do it if you don't like people looking at you. They'll think you just ate at the taco truck for lunch.

You can keep the 'grunt' part of the exhalation fairly quiet and inconspicuous and concentrate on keeping your lungs relatively empty (the control pause) for longer and longer periods. Then work on making the inhalation as soft and undramatic as possible.

Also, you can work on performing 'abdominal vacuums' during the control pause - use your diaphragm to 'pull' your rectus abdominus muscles inward toward your spine after you have 'pushed' the RA muscles as far as they can go under their own power; try not to lock your throat while you do this, but rather think of the sensation of 'inhaling' without actually letting any air past your nostrils. This secondary 'pull' really adds to the core reactive strength of your abs , and is a standard tool (known as the 'Ab vaccuum' ) in the old time strongman's reportory for muscle control and ad devleopment. Coach Sonnon demos two versions of it in 'Maximology', if you want to see how he integrates it into Be Breathed.
