The ABC book that is out just gave me an idea. Basically combining two things can give you some results. Using the ABC exercises and principles one would think that using a reduced calorie diet or a low carb diet ie: the anabolic solution for powerlifters, one could gain extremely cut muscles if you were going for a specific look or wanted to be at a certain weight class while maintaining maximal muscle. Using The ABC's you can burn quite a bit of calories while still maximizing strength and Hypertrophy. I realize that cutting calories wouldn't make someone as big as they could possibly be but it would burn fat rapidly combined with the ABC's this is similar to Charles Staley's EDT for fat loss. You basically manage your fatigue as much as you can so you can move as much wait as you can in a given time period. So moving more wieght or having more clubbell swings each workout while maintaining or reducing your caloric intake just slightly could lead to a huge change in body compisition. I'm going to experiment with this by trying to keep my body weight at 180 while reducing my body fat and increasing my strength. I think this would be a great idea to work with wrestlers or even clients that what to lean down. Just another way to do it maybe. I hope you guys get what I'm saying and I'm not just rambling. If anyone else know a little bit about Charles Staley's EDT philosiphy and would like to give their input on using it with the ABC's, that would be great. If anyone has any input on just my little idea that would be great too. I hope I didn't just type down what would only make sense to my self. Thanks for your input.

Add a 2 pood KB (the analog of the Bruiser) and you have an idea of my program. Heavy CB and Heavy KB done density style + low-carb. Your idea is perfectly sound, should work great. I'm at 182 in the pic in the current issue.

If you need anything more on the diet part - post in the nutrtion section

Bill,
I'm down 89 pounds as of today but still have 32 to go to hit my goal of 195. Where can I get more info on density style training as it relates to weight loss?
You mention the 2.0 kb. Part of my w/o today was 11 sets of 3 Clean and Push-presses with the 2.0. Each rep cleaned from the ground and definetly a push-press as opposed to a jerk. For some silly reason I really like cleaning the 2.0. After doing presses with two 1.5's cleaning the 2.0 feels great.

There are articles by Coach Sonnon in the last few issues on his Double Density -and pics of his lean out (although he gained muscle) and wasn't "dieting" although I know he is lo-carb

Mike Mahler has written some articles on Escalating Density training at his site Mikemahler.com

I don't know how much weight loss is mentioned, but volume+heavy weight+less cals=less fat

And CONGRATS so far anyway
