    Protein Shakes

I was thinking of buying protein powder. Just to make sure I get enough protein. Last I recall I am lactse intolerant. My thought was to buy whey protein and mix it with soy milk, is it OK to combine the two? Or would I be better off using soy protein powder?

    Chris,

Perfectly OK to combine the 2, maybe even better.

You can also just mix chocolate whey with water and just pretend its a shot of Luksosawa Polish vodka (you'll need a really good imagination for that one). You can add 50 grams of protien for only 200 cals that way.

If you want it to actually taste better, you can put in a shot of half and half or cream, this will hold you longer, but if your not on low-carb, is probably not a good idea.

    Thanks Bill

I will have to try the low carb someday. My problem, is when I come off the low carb. Its usually with bad carbs.

    Me too

That's why the carb cycling didn't work for me.

Low-carb works, but dabbling is deadly. Your eating alot of fat and if your "sneaking" sugar it all goes to hell. Your correct, it tends to be an all or nothing thing -although some have the discipline to make cycling work at least for a short period of time.
