    Talking Hijacking Over!

I came to this forum for the first time this week after Coach Hurst's 1st Annual Kansas Seminar . I have been posting ever since under Bob's (my husband) registered account. Since it looks like I'll be here for a while, I thought I'd go legal and register my own name.

In the past, I have worked out with dumbbells, but stopped after a major move 4 years ago and have never gone back to them. I practice Ashtanga yoga with a "yogi" friend, but that has been on hiatus since she had a baby a few months ago. I do participate in a weekly "relaxation" yoga class, but it does not challenge me like the Ashtanga workouts did. I train in Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate at least twice a week. This has been both a blessing and a curse as I have experienced several irritating injuries from this that never seem to heal completely.

I have been practicing FlowFit®, though not for the past 3 weeks due to extra time put in at work, but I plan on picking that back up soon. I just started Intu-Flow® yesterday, and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Prasara. Eventually, I want to move up to using the mini-clubbells with the Intu-Flow®. We also have the Forward Pressure and Be Breathed and I plan on trying those out in the future. I have started the shoulder rehab exercises with a mini-Clubbell® that Ryan showed us at the seminar (as well as the hip-opening flow - which is awesome!).

My goals are just that I want to be pain-free from my various injuries (Bob is tired of my whining so I get no sympathy from him anymore. ), I want to increase my core strength, and regain and extend my flexibility and balance.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome, KD. My avatar is adapted from a photo I found of a frog on a banana leaf, taken from underneath. I have a fondness for frogs, lol. In fact... Kikker means frog in Nederlands!

Love, I'm really happy you've decided to take charge of your pains and god haven't we all felt your pain.

    Elizabeth,
Welcome to the Forum as the "real you". I take it from your avatar that you'll be specializing in "Frog Hops"? Excellent. Look forward to reading about your adventures & discoveries.

Wonderful! Ry had such great things to say about you and your husband!

Maybe I should go to Kansas next time Ry has a seminar!

Hi Bri! It was a pleasure meeting you too! I'm still impressed with your Spider Monkey - especially after reading that you have only recently started practicing it! The whole experience at the seminar was a lot of fun - everyone in the group got along so well! I'm looking forward to the next one - wherever it is!

    Cheers!
