I started tonight doing the trial by fire with 15 pound clubbells. I only did 50 of each exercise but plan to increase it to 100 in a week. I am exhausted but would like to know if it is safe to do the trial by fire every night. I plan on doing it Monday thru Friday and take Sat and Sunday off for bike riding, golf, etc. It is different than lifting weights so I thought every night would be OK. Would appreciate any opinions. Thank You!
It is safe but i won't recommend it. If you like you can do it alternate days as per the original Double Density. However a better approach which i recommend would be 4x7 or 7x4.
Herman has offered great advice, I'd like to add that if you are new to the TBF exercises do a density cycle for each exercise individually to dial in your technique. Enjoy your practise and keep us posted on your progress![]()

Thank you for your replies. I did 50 reps of each exercise last night and 60 tonight and I feel real good but I will be careful. I hope this will help get my metabolism moving again.
I did 150 reps of the Trial By Fire tonight. 100 reps one session and 50 the next. It went well. I am taking Friday and Saturday off to have some fun but will be back at it Sunday night. I am using 15 pound clubbells as that is the weight I have right now. I am 57 years old with one very bad knee but I have noticed in 3 days my hips and knee both feel so much better and my core is getting tighter so I thank you Scott.
