What I did today, a personal training log

I've been operating without a THP for a while, just trying to get back to work. Yeah, I know. Wrong order, right? I'm supposed to have a plan, do the work, and then blog it. Well, here's two out of three.

    November 19, 2007

6 Double Handed Swipes on the minute for 30 minutes ( 15 lbs )
    Total volume: 180

    RPE: 8
    RPD: 3
    RPT: 8

Good to see you blogging again!

    Chasing (an adventure novel)
~ The life of a Chaser seemed to fit Ottum like well-made armor. She hunted and killed evil without questioning the path her life had taken - until the day evil started hunting her. In that dark moment, Ottum's past and present collided to shatter what she once believed to be unquestionable truth.

Thank you, my friends. Had a bit of a sore behind yesterday. Very little tightness in my shoulders.

    November 20, 2007

Mobility throughout the day, CST shoulder prehab, and a few mills with each hand to help with the tightness in the shoulders. No intensity.

Well, yesterday I ended up playing at martial arts for a few hours.

    Today was a Mill day.

    November 22, 2007

5R,5L Mills at 15 lbs on the minute for 36 minutes
    Total Volume: 180R,180L

RPE: 7 (Thought I should have started at 6 instead of 5)
RPT: 7 (only hit myself in the head lightly)
RPD: 3 (what an uncomfortable forearm pump)

    Happy Turkey Day!

In what way was your forearm pump uncomfortable? Typically I associate getting a "pump" with effort - not discomfort.

It's certainly a result of effort, but it's a swelling and tightness that I feel impedes performance. So, I'd put it in the same category as DOMS.

The inventor of the shower has my eternal thanks. I'm not one to walk around going, "OH! I feel so HUGE!"

EDIT a few days later - Hmm, that may be because I've never been HUGE.

Tuesday, I had a lot of pain in the injured right leg. I gave it two extra days of rest and went back to my rehab exercises. I blame the weather.

    Mills last night.

    November 28, 2007

6R,6L Mills at 15 lbs on the minute for 30 minutes
    Total Volume: 180R,180L

    RPE: 7
    RPT: 8
    RPD: 3

RPD includes a small blister under a callus on my right hand.

7 Double Handed Swipes on the minute for 26 minutes ( 15 lbs )
    Total volume: 182

    RPE: 9
    RPD: 2
    RPT: 8

The first 100 were easy. I still don't expect to move up to 8 on my next time with swipes.

Seal Walk Flow as a cool down. I was in wind removal, relaxing after the more intense work and just started from there with a bridge. Soon, 20 minutes had passed.
