    Freedom by Degree question

I would like anyone's opinion on whether Freedom by Degree would be suitable for complete beginners. By 'complete' I mean no experience whatsoever in any of Coach Sonnon's material, but possibly some Martial Arts background or other training. I am looking to buy gifts for some special people and I can't think of a better gift than pain free movement coordination, etc. But if the Freedom By Degree videos would be hard to follow for the uninitiated, what would be better? I am not really worried about cost, if, for instance, Maximology would be a better introduction/overview.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

    Casey

I would skip Freedom By Degree for now unless you are looking for an expansion on the Warrior Wellness series and the pedagogy behind it. That said Warrior Wellness is an excellent place to start.

If you are mainly interested in the health related side of Coach Sonnon's work personally I would recommend you choose from Body Flow (Book & Video) or Maximology.

Again this is only my opinion but I would go more for Body Flow as it would give you more of a framework within which to start work immediately, whereas Maximology may leave you a little overwhelmed if you have no fixed reference points.

    Hi Casey-
I'd second this, as well. The Warrior Wellness tapes would be much more approachable to a complete beginner to the CST system. The Freedom by Degree tapes assume some prior familiarity with the material. That said, I can't think of a better gift to someone than the Warrior Wellness series, followed by perhaps the Body-Flow book/video.

PS- How's the OCS training going?
