    Mike's 'Welcome Back' Cycle

    First, some background. I injured my shoulder about 5-6 weeks ago and have not been able to touch my clubbells since. After a few weeks of chiropractic adjustments and a bit of rehab I got the green light to start swinging again slowly. This is going to be the tough part for me, *slowly*.

    Goals
    Rehab my shoulder
    *Slowly* ease back into training
    Pay attention to signs of overtraining (as volume increases)
    Learn from past overtraining issues (This will be the focus of my training for all cycles proceding)

    Shoulder DROM
    5 sets 10 reps swipes with 2 15 lb clubbells with 1 minute rest periods

    RT=7
    RPE=6

    It felt great to get back to my clubbells, though I have much ground to regain. My grip was taxed on the last set. It's going to be a while before I get back to my previous numbers, but thats fine with me, because I no longer workout for just the numbers. My left wrist was extremely weak today due to some excess pain. (I have nueral ganglion cysts in both wrists) Oddly enough, ever since I started with clubbells the pain has reduced tremendously. It returned only after about 3 weeks away from clubbells. I look forward to it leaving again. I will be taking a few days off to evaluate how my body feels per my sports doctors suggestion.

    Abs were a little sore from the last session, but the shoulder felt good. My grip is in need of much help still. Left wrist felt better than the last round. Looking forward to pain free movement again.

    Warrior Wellness in the AM. WW is done every morning and as such will not be reported here unless something occurs during the session.

    Instead of clubbells, I decided to pull out my surfboard for the first time this year and see how the shoulders like it. Paddling was rough...I forgot how hard it was in the beginning. It took all I had just to get to the lineup. Did another Warrior Wellness after the session just to keep things loose. This replaced my workout and I will take a few days to see how my shoulder feels afterwards.

    Shoulders are not sore at all, surprisingly, but they definitely do not feel *right*, whatever that means. There is an odd feeling, maybe some tightness? but its hard to say at this point. I will do a second Warrior Wellness tonight and assess the situation tomorrow.
