    Red face Awaiting the Bruiser

Hey all, my name is Kevin Capps and I have been a lurker on the forum for awhile now. I was working on a short biography for my first post when RMAX announced the sale on 25 and 45 pound clubbells. I could not pass on that.

Looks like my first post is going to be just a quick statement regarding finally ordering a Bruiser. I am very excited and looking forward to the arrival!

Thanks Ian. The 45 will almost complete my collection. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 35 and I am looking forward to the additional challenge.

The bruiser arrived in short order. Ordering from RMAX is always a pleasure. The shipping is always trouble free, quick and professional.

After working with the bruiser I realized the extra load could quickly push me into overtraining. Currently I am working a consistent 4x7 cycle with the requisite 15 pound clubbells preparing for the Trial by Fire for the CST IC this October.

Good for you for knowing where you stand at this point in time.

It took me a very long time to realize that over-doing was actually taking action with the real intention (usually unconscious) of self-sabotage.

It wasn’t until I read The Big Book of Clubbell® Training that I realized I was “cocktailing” mixing various exercises together with no overall training goal in mind. The resulting nagging aches and pains should have been a wake-up call to throttle down. The problem with Clubbell® training is that it’s fun. It is very easy to “play” and not be fully aware of the stresses you are inducing. I was “doodling” on my health/fitness slate rather than “cleaning” it. I have learned to respect the clubbells for the serious training tools they represent. At 49 now, I fully endorse a “health-first” training protocol.

    Incremental Steps!
