    Training in times of (dis)stress

A lot of Coach Sonnon's work focuses on the relationship between exercise and stress/distress, and he states that Tacfit was designed with the objective of developing stress resistance in the trainee. As we all know our training does not happen in a vacuum and there are many times in our lives, when our (dis)stress levels are high and stress hormones are elevated derailing our training programme and cannibalising our hard earned gains.

I would be very curious to know what the Tacfit coaches advice would be on how we should adjust (if at all) our training programme during times of stress. It often feels to me (during stressful times) like a paradox to be training for stress resistance, when the training itself feels like it is adding to my total stress levels.

    Any thoughts?

    thanks

I have found that TF during times of Life-stress is a life line for me..It allows me to release all the built up tension (often unconscious) and thru this get my energy flowing again. It also allow me to deal with those emotional issues that are causing the tension in the first place.
The TF training takes me back into myself thru a re-intergration of mind/body/breath.
So for me its imperative to maintain my training when life is a hurricane and Im caught up in the blast. That being said thru the Intuitive training protocol I can adjust my training to suit the current circumstances. Sometimes its better to delve back for example and do an extra 'low' intensity day because Im all tensed up and tight from work etc.

I wholeheartedly agree with this assessment. Physical exertion, in and of itself, clears the mind as well as the body and rids both of the seemingly insurmountable worries of the world in much the same way as daylight dissolves terrors of the night.
