    worm?

    Hi guys,

i'm having a helluva time getting into the groove with the worm and was wondering if you could be of some help?

I seem to be able to generate enough elevation but arching and maintaing the arch are proving to be troublesome.

I feel i have a blockage around T10 which is being pulled by my diaphragm or surrounding tissues. The pull is felt - even whilst standing and not playing, and is felt to be located and connected directly between these two points.

The other limiting factor is being able to roll down through the movement across my quads - i seem to crash.

wallwalking, gymnastic bridges - falling into a gymnastic bridge etc are not a problem as are most of the other body flow movements and my own movements etc. But this worm - I can't get it.

    Thanks
    Russell

    Russell,

Apart from the thorasic mobility exercises in warrior wellness, you may want to try working with the pronate and supine spinal waves from the Zdorovye video encyclopedia. I found that they really loosened up my back prior to working the worm.

    Hope that is useful.

    Ryan.

    Russell,

How is your experience with the Twisting Spinal Arch? How is your ROM with the Thoracic Circles and Infinities?
