Well I am from London Ontario, Canada. I have been studying Jeet Kune Do for a couple of years. I can't find anyone to give me any practical addvise concerning the anxiety asspect of combat.. in my case my job, I basically deal (arrest) with a lot of different types of crazy characters in which some carry needles, in some cases knives which fortunetely none have been pulled on me yet, but my problem is in the heat of the moment of confronting these individuals never being sure whats in store, I sometimes get so full of anxiety I seem to get somewhat weak, hotflashes, sometimes even chest pain, it ultimately influences the outcome or the techniques I use to detain these individuals.. I struggle to much to detain them when I believe the techniques I have learned thus far are very much diluted or hindered in the heat of the moment.
When I stumbled accross the "ROSS system" article in the Blackbelt magazine during a search on-line, I really had to find out more which led me to here.
I hope this gives a more clear picture of where I'm at.. I wish I was there to recieve the training! I am very much facinated by this sytsem.
Is there any hope or any wise thoughts or advise!
sincerely,
mike w
