I have been back from NZ now for almost a week. I have been playing with my CB and doing my WW every day. However, I had yet to devote time to a proper BF session. Until yesterday. Because it was a national holiday here in Japan I had the martial art center to myself and spent about an hour rolling, spinning, twirling, tumbling and what ever else I could do.
Then it hit me. Yesterday's free form BF session took me back to the times when I used to tumble and do floor exercises in gymnastics. I wasn't thinking about what was next and what 'trick' I was to do. I just went with what I had and moved into the next movement not thinking what would come next. It was great.
The last 15 minutes I thought of some chains to put together. Basically just something I could put on video for next time.
But the brilliance of this session was that I had no time constraints, pressure to get to work, nor any other outside hindrances. Just the pleasure of being able to play for the sake of play's worth.
I think that is something that will become a focus for me this year. To play like a child in this adult body.
Cheers all.
