G & T Students' Workshops.

Tom Bryla gave me a hand to present 2 workshops (1.5 hours each) yesterday for the Gold Coast Gifted and Talented Association yesterday afternoon. Kids in first group aged about 9->14yrs, and in second group from 5-> 8yrs.

Kept it quite simple. Figure 8’s (vertical, horizontal, diagonals with single dominant arm, less dominant arm, both arms, arms entwined, etc, foot, etc), through to Clover Leaves. Did some broomstick work similar. Broke it up by twirling, rocking work including Position of Assurance, and what we call Turtle Rolls.

Will extract some stills from video footage Tom shot, pass photos by organizers to get OK, and will post these in later.

Some really nice kids - had their parents join in as well, so that they might retain a bit more long term and play with their children / encourage them to continue to include movements into their lives.

Any chance of an article for CST Mag, with photos and a summary of your workshops, prefaced with your thoughts on RMAX in the context of working with these kids? :wink:
