new member needs advice on best resources to train remedialy

Hi, this is my first time posting anything anywhere.
So if this request belongs somewhere else I need that information in addition to my request below, thanks.

My partner is going to purchase a pair of 10lbs. clubs a DVD/Video and a book, in the next few days. He has graciously offered to train with me and allow me to use his clubs to practice, and we both think that I need to find a remedial parrallel training regime.

So my question is this, which of the materials known to this community (and I'm told that their are both chiropractors and recovering athletes amongst this crew) would best aid an individual who has L3,L5,T10 and C1-C2 issues?

I need to first recover flexability, lubrication and small stabilizing muscle development,
before I can sanely begin to work more agressively to develop the kind of practice that my partner is planning on working.

Thanks and Peace be with thee,
    Aaron Heart
